Our friendship is mildly bipolar, I feel so. Take this as my opinion. On months, we would be totally detached, and then when we do meet, distance is again crossed. I think, but I cannot really be sure :). Maybe I say that because that's what I want to believe. Best restaurant for me that meets quirkiness and earnestness, is Van Gogh is Bipolar. Great place, great ambiance, best time to unwind after a full dinner. I've always loved Quezon City because all the restaurants there are not commercialized, has a character of its own and the food is parang pagkain lang sa kusina, but tasty. Maginhawa Street is a prime example - exactly where Van Gogh is Bipolar is located. We tried Fruili Trattoria for dinner - yummy thin crust pizzas, also recommended and also at Maginhawa Street. This is in celebration of Dd's 31st birthday - when 31 is the new 21 ;).

By the way, the menu is creatively interesting - each entry named after an allegedly bipolar artist. But you know what gets me, the claygo (clean as you go) self-service format. I love it - totally transforms the whole restaurant norm service. It is an experience to eat there. I just realized - seasonal bipolars - isn't this term redundant?
